Park Me In Park City

One of the great things about Salt Lake City is being able to find a way out of the heat.  And, boy it's been hot here!  Today we took a little day trip with Mark, Pam and Sophia to a favorite place of ours--Park City.

We started with lunch on the patio of a brew pub.

Here's Mark

And Olivia with Eric

We strolled up and down Main Street.  Oh, Park City you are so pretty!

Olivia and Sophia stopped for every photo op.

Then it was up to Park City Resort to see what kind of summertime activities they were offering.  This year, bungie jumping, a rock wall, mini golf and an alpine slide.  The alpine slide takes advantage of the ski lifts--you ride up the lift with a little sled, then ride down a luge-type slide.  There is also an alpine roller coaster.  The coaster track follows a ski run up and down and around the mountain.

The weather was not cooperating, and the threat of thunderstorms temporarily closed the alpine slide, so the girls started with the bungie jump.

Whoopie!

Next up, rock climbing

The weather really would not give us a break.  We never ended up on the slide, but did try the roller coaster.  I didn't get any pictures--mainly because we were all holding on for dear life.  Our original plan was to watch an outdoor concert at a neighboring ski resort, but then came the rain.

We headed down the canyon where we were met with this view.

One last thing

Too funny!
