Thanks to the power of Facebook, we discovered that we would be in Seattle at the same time as dear friends. Believe it or not, Kristian and Juha traveled even more miles to get here than we did---all the way from Finland! Kristian and Eric were roommates many years ago in Utah, and had kept in touch over the past 20 years or so.
We met at a little restaurant, the Coastal Cafe on Capital Hill, for breakfast and had a lovely visit. Every one is looking and doing great. We were proud to be able to introduce them to Olivia.
Oh, it also turns out that my parents and Kristian's parents knew each other at the University of Washington. Small world, huh!
