Okay everybody, you are in for a treat. Our next stop? Moab, Utah. Land of red rock, slick rock, the Colorado River and arches. Moab is a 3 1/2 hour drive southeast from Salt Lake. It did, however, take us a little longer because of this:

The river looks pretty calm here, but further upstream it's a little more rough. A few times before we moved to Texas, we took rafting trips down the rapids. Very fun! That was on my list of things to experience with Olivia, but we ran out of time. We will save it for the next visit.
We stayed at our favorite hotel, the Gonzo Inn.
If you are ever in Moab, I highly recommend checking out the Gonzo. It's a little more expensive than the typical Moab hotel, but it is worth it! If you have some time, take the virtual tour of the rooms. We stayed in a suite and loved, loved, loved it! And, they are extremely dog friendly!
After a fantastic night's sleep (thanks Gonzo), we were off to Arches National Park to see some arches (of course).
Here we go! Trying to choose pictures is beginning to hurt my head. You are going to have to come over to see the rest.

Something we did not anticipate...dogs are not allowed in National Parks. So we took turns staying back in the parking lot with Holly.
Once we realized that we would not be able to do some of the hiking that we had planned in Moab, we decided it was time to move on.
This is a roadside attraction that is worth stopping for
It is a 5,000 square foot house where a family actually lived. I found some information on it here.
What used to be just the house and a gift shop now has a trading post, petting zoo and wi-fi!
